November...SERIOUSLY?!?

I am not at all sure what happened to October!

These last few weeks have been extremely busy with getting things ready at Canvas...next week is the official LAUNCH of the ministry. It is exciting but we are down to crunch time and still have quite a bit to get done before Monday. I am so excited to see how God will bring this all together!

Unfortunately with all the work that I have been putting into the building I have allowed other important things to take the backseat for the time being. One of the things that has taken the backseat position definitely SHOULD NOT EVER BE IN THE BACKSEAT & that is my time in the Word & my personal time with the Lord. I have certainly noticed the difference since that has been lacking.

Please don't get me wrong. I have tried but to no avail...I have set my alarm for earlier in the morning so I can get up and spend 20 minutes or so in conversation with God & reading HIS WORD. Then I am a bad girl and roll over and hit the SNOOZE button instead. Then after a full day at work, then working at Canvas for a couple of hours, come home shower & eat...I go to my bedroom grab my Bible and/or devotional book then an hour or 2 later I wake up with them laying beside me.

I need to stop making excuses and "JUST DO IT".

I am so excited that a week from right now I will be waking up to the sound of little feet running around...that's right, next Tuesday night I am headed to St. Louis. I am in such need of time to just be. During the 5 days that I am there I can make the 2 things a priority that have taken that backseat position...TIME WITH THE LORD AND TIME WITH MY FAMILY!! I have no true plans while I am in St. Louis but I will be at the beckon call of the cutest 3 year old boy in the world...hearing "Hey Manda...watch this!!" I am also hoping to hear my ABBA say "HEY MANDA...WATCH THIS!"
I am so looking forward to time just sitting out on the balcony of Russ & Katie's condo with my Bible.

It will be so good to have time with Russ & Katie. It has been a long time since I have been with them by myself. I am sure there will be everything from heart to heart conversations to laughing while playing games to watching "What Not To Wear" & "Biggest Loser"...yes, Katie & I thoroughly enjoy reality TV (& so does Russ...he just pretends to be working on his computer!)

I am truly blessed to have such a great relationship with Russ & that one of my Best Friends is Katie. BTW, Katie...my mom told me to tell you that you guys need to invite as many SINGLE CHRISTIAN GUYS over that you know for me to meet. I guess she is asking to "lose" another child to STL!!!
