This morning was a different kind of morning for me. It is not a normal daily thing that I wake up and really feel the presence of God right there in the room with me. Today I did.
When my alarm clock went off this morning I did not hear it first thing...probably because 1)I took Nyquil last night because I am battling the beginning of a head cold and 2)it is a CD alarm clock, which means it is not all that loud.
I have had Tim Hughes newest cd in my alarm clock for a few months now. This is one of my favorite Worship cds right now. So like every other morning I woke up to the name of God being lift up...but God was right there with me in a real way.
The song that I awoke to was "Clinging to the Cross" and it was at the part that says
"Even darkness is as light to You, my Lord
So light the way and lead me home
To that place where every tear is wiped away
For Jesus, You will never fail
Jesus, You will never fail"
I think that God was just really reminding me in a special way that I am NEVER alone...even when I feel like I am in darkness.
If you do not own this CD I would highly recommend everyone to go out and get it. It has changed my life. The name of it is "Holding Nothing Back".
