My friend Derek Hicks got a call sometime during the last 24 hours that his mom has taken a turn for the worse and they are not expecting her to make it through the weekend.
*REWIND...Derek's mom has had cancer for awhile now.
Derek currently lives in Louisiana and is driving back to Oklahoma City today. Derek is an only child and his father has not had an active role in Derek's life. Please pray for Derek as he proceeds on this long hard road. Please pray for God to do a work in Derek's mom and in Derek. Also, pray for Donny and Cami (my uncle and aunt) and the others at Hope Church in OKC that will be ministering to Derek during this time.
